DIY Fold Over Clutch Tutorial
I love accessories! When I had the idea of creating a pattern for a fold over clutch, I knew it would be an accessory that will be well used over the summer. Unique bags are up my alley, especially since I have been trying to incorporate more cruelty free products (which in the fashion industry is hard to find!) into my life. So, I decided to make my own accessories that were fun, modern and reflected my sense of style. This fold over clutch makes a gorgeous statement bag and perfect for date night or even for everyday depending on the print you decide to choose.
The Fira Fold Over Clutch has a divider compartment inside the bag so you can separate different items like your phone without digging through the entire bag. It is a big plus in my books! I also used some gorgeous fabric from Art Gallery Fusion Collections- fashion scent abloom that helped give a modern look! There is just something about floral prints that I am absolutely loving recently.

The pattern is a full step-by-step tutorial with photos, diagrams and clearly written instructions to guide you. If you are a beginner, I do recommend practicing your sewing skills before attempting this bag. You can try my free zipper pouch tutorial on the blog which guides you through how to sew a zipper. This pattern builds on the basics from this tutorial.

The Fira Fold Over Clutch also makes a wonderful birthday gift. I made one for a close friend of mine this summer using a purple leather back and the same cotton printed fabric I used for the front. It turned out amazing! Let me know if you give this pattern a try. I cannot wait to put more patterns up on Etsy for you to try out.
