The Bunny Lovey Pattern

Recently, I have been inspired to design some new patterns and this bunny lovey idea just called out to me. My little guy turned 8 months recently. I wanted to make him a beautiful heirloom stuffie that he could have for years to come. Babies and young kids love to have a snuggle toy for comfort and this would be perfect!
The design of the lovey was thought with babies particularly in mind. I designed the arms so that they could grab the ears, arms and legs easily and chew on them. I made this bunny using some beautiful Merchant and Mills linen fabric. The linen adds a beautiful vintage flair and it will only get softer as it gets washed over the years. Of course, the pattern can be made with any woven fabric. An old shirt from a loved one could make it that much more special!
The lovey pattern also uses hand embroidery for the nose and eyes – which you can personalize for whatever look you want to go for. It makes a wonderful personalized gift for baby showers as well!
This lovey may be one of my most sentimental patterns and I hope you enjoy sewing it!
