Popcorn Bobble Stitch Beanie With Fold Over Brim

I am so excited to be releasing my first knit beanie pattern! It is a fun pattern that includes the oh so popular bobble stitch. I have seen countless sweaters this fall with these fun bobbles. This inspired me to make the Popcorn Beanie named after the popcorn stitch.The fold-over brim adds another layer of warmth which is much needed, especially with the cooler weather hitting Canada. It was -20 today…Brrr! Popcorn is also my weakness, so you could say this pattern was meant to be! A movie night with popcorn is probably one of my favourite cozy nights in. The Popcorn Beanie and Christmas

I had a blasting creating the Popcorn Beanie and the process gives me all the feels. I actually had rip the pattern out 3 times to get the write sizing and shape…realities of designing patterns. That was maybe not the most fun part but it is all part of the process. This beanie is definitely going to be a staple for Christmas gifts, I love it that much! All that to say, I feel incredibly accomplished for creating the Popcorn Beanie that I had been dreaming about for weeks. There is just something so special about taking action and putting something into the world that I only hope will excite others just as much as I had when knitting this beanie.

Can I also just admit that I had Christmas tunes out while taking these photos! I cannot wait to enjoy everything that goes along with Christmas from the hot chocolate, picking out and decorating our Christmas tree, matching pyjamas and some new traditions with our son. December is a special month for us. Our son was born in December nearly 2 years ago and this year he will start to understand the idea of Christmas. We are really excited and cannot wait!

The Yarn and Pom Pom

For this beanie, I used the petite wool from We Are Knitters. This was the first time I had purchased this yarn and I cannot tell you how warm and squishy it is to work with. This yarn is made of 100% Peruvian wool and it is a bulky level 5 yarn. The chunky wool which makes knitting this beanie up much faster than my typical knitted items.
